Please come and join me, my singing teachers and musical colleagues in my last concert before I head off to Oxford.

Aidan is a young musicologist and opera singer. He is excited to have been accepted into the University of Oxford’s prestigious postgraduate music programme, commencing this October. In addition, he has been accepted into the historic college of Christ Church. Aidan has the once in a lifetime chance to study with world renowned scholars. Musicologically, Aidan specialises in musical modernism and music analysis, especially the music of Igor Stravinsky and Elisabeth Lutyens. Aidan is passionate about music education and sharing his love of music more widely, and hopes to follow the model of the late Richard Gill.

Beyond music, Aidan is a lifelong St Kilda local, a passionate environmentalist and gardener, as well as having a strong interest in Irish culture.

The performance will feature songs and arias by Fauré, Mozart and Respighi, as well as works by Elisabeth Lutyens and Pauline Viardot.

Alongside Aidan, the cast includes renowned opera singer, Suzanne Johnston as host, acclaimed mezzo-soprano and academic, Linda Barcan, distinguished pianist and associative artist, Dean Sky-Lucas, as well as featuring emerging musicians from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Lisette Bolton, James Earl and Lilijana Matičevksa.

Come and help support Aidan fulfill his dream to study at Oxford!
